Case Farmall 95c ISO 11786 socket

Hi All,

New to the group and not sure where to post this but wondering if anyone can help. I have been trolling through the internet for days now and not making nay progress.

Background:
I have a case farmall 95c year 2016. Recently i purchased an APV pneumatic seeder which came with a 5.2 control box. In order to use it to its full potential there is a 7 pin ISO 11786 signal cable that is used to monitor tractor speed (which will regulate seed rate) and lift arm position (which will start / stop seed application when coming to headland of field)

Issue:
On my farmall i have the following connections available in the cab. A 3 pin 12 v power supply and a J1939 connector or 9-pin deutsch connector. After speaking to the supplier and to APV themselves, there is no other cable or adaptor that will go from there control box to my 9 pin socket.

So, what i want to know, is it possible to install a 7 pin ISO 11786 socket in my tractor. I am hoping someone here knows if wiring is there somewhere inside the paneling or if not is it possible to run cabling to the ECU.

I've actually dealt with a similar setup before. And I've learned that yes, it's possible to retrofit a 7-pin ISO 11786 socket to your Farmall 95C. The ISO 11786 standard is designed to provide speed and hitch signals to implements like your APV seeder. While your tractor doesn't come with it by default, you can install a compatible socket and wire it to the ECU or use a radar/GPS sensor as an alternative input.

From what I remember, your J1939 (9-pin) connector is for CAN bus communication, not directly compatible with ISO 11786. Some manufacturers offer adapter cables that convert signals from 9-pin or 3-pin sources to ISO 11786.

You might want to check behind the dash or fuse panel as some tractors have unused wiring harnesses tucked away. If not, a custom install with a signal socket kit is doable.

@MrChippp53 is right, so you'll need to pull clean fused 12V from the 3‑pin supply and run the CAN or control lines separately. Did your seeder come with its own harness adapter, since APV usually includes a breakout lead that mates the 7‑pin to both power and signal, and that would save you from splicing?

You might also want to check if your Farmall’s ECU is capable of outputting ground speed through the wheel sensor or radar port, some models have that feature tucked away in the diagnostic harness. That signal can be used for the ISO 11786 input without requiring a complete ECU rewire.
