My grandpa had his own special routine for starting up his old Case during the winter months.

It made me wonder what about you, do you have any tricks up your sleeve? Maybe you switch to a lighter oil or make sure the block heater is plugged in. I'd love to hear what methods have worked for you over the years

I always plug in the block heater got that habit from my dad ages ago. It's saved me from a bunch of cold starts when it gets super chilly.

I switch to lighter oil in the winter. I picked up that trick after struggling with starting my old Case tractor way too many times. It made starting much easier.

I keep a battery tender connected all winter. I started doing it years ago because I was tired of weak starts in the cold. Now it's just part of what I do.

I usually do a few slow cranks before starting up. My grandpa showed me that on his Case a long time ago, and I still do it. It really helps with starting.
