How do you decide whether to rent or buy new attachments?

Yeah, I've totally done that dance. After renting attachments a few times, it was super clear which ones I needed to own and which were just a waste.

I usually rent first, unless I know I'm gonna be using it all the time. I learned my lesson after buying one that just sat in the shed.

I've done it both ways, too. If it's just for once in a while, I rent. But if it saves time each week, I buy it. Where I'm gonna keep it and looking after it usually makes my final choice.
