Input shaft concern

I picked up a used 2022 8250 combine a few weeks back. So far no complaints, it's been working great. But since I've been checking news and discussions, I just learned about this input shaft issue with the splines shearing off. It seems to be a very common issue since Case offered to cover parts and labor for a new transmission housing to fix the misalignment.

Does that cover all combines from the same year and model? I'm thinking if I should take mine to dealer to get it checked or should I just wait and see. If anyone here ran into the same problem, I'm eager to hear what your experience was, especially with Case's offer. Also interested to get any advice from others with the same model as mine.

Yep, that input shaft spline issue is more common than you think. The key is whether your 2022 8250's serial number is within the range that Case IH identified for that misalignment fix.
From what I recall, it wasn't every single unit, but a significant number. If your combine is affected, it's typically a no-cost parts and labor repair at the dealer. Get it checked out now; addressing it proactively will save you massive downtime and expense if it shears off in the middle of harvest

@FarmerBoy2025 is right. I'd take it in now. If it's covered, there's no reason to wait and risk downtime when you're busiest. Mine was just outside the range and didn't qualify, so definitely check your serial number first before getting your hopes up.
