I got a Case IH Staiger 500 and it had served me well for years, but then I got a ENG 115 code today error in sensors, and I am hopeless. I do not know what to do or how to deal with it. It is pretty old so repair must be costly. I do not want to go to a repair shop. Is there any way something will go terribky wrong if I ignore this for a couple o days? I am feeling that my Case is going into overdrive it is erratic. So is there any of you who experienced it too that can say how you fixed it just at home? Much appreciated.

any news? it's risky to ignore sensor problems.. that can damage the engine or other components so I hope you had it repaired! a common issue with older machines is corroded or loose wiring connections but mostly you need a diagnostic tool for an eng115.. if you haven't fixed this yet, delay no further and consult a qualified mechanic!!

Sensors issues can be tricky because it can sometimes be a loose connection or a bit of corrosion on a sensor plug. The first thing I would do is to inspect for these and look for any obvious damage to wiring.

You can check a service manual for Staiger 500 to get a clue about the location and function of the sensor related to the ENG 115 code.

But honestly, I'd also go with what @hh.gbs9 said and get professional help. Erratic operation could potentially lead to more serious problems or safety concerns.

Agree with this. Don't wait too long to get sensors checked. This applies to ANY vehicle. I'm pretty sure safest thing to do is to get help from a mechanic. This is serious stuff.
