I've been pushing my Case IH through long, tough shifts, and I've seen how fast issues can arise if you’re not vigilant.

What practical tips or tools do you rely on to keep your engine running smoothly throughout the day?

I have a simple checklist I run through during breaks, make sure the oil, coolant, belts, and filters are all in good shape. A bit of preventive care can save a lot of hassle later on, especially when the tractor’s really putting in the effort in the heat.

For me, it’s all about visually checking fluids, listening for strange sounds, and keeping an eye or a nose out for anything that seems off.
A multimeter for checking the battery and alternator is a real lifesaver as the day wears on.
