After a week of heavy use, you want to steer clear of any unexpected issues. Before those annoying squeaks or binding start, let’s go over some straightforward lubrication routines, pin checks, and quick visual inspections that will keep your loader running smoothly and ready for whatever comes next.

Every Friday afternoon, I make sure to grease everything before storing it. I hit all the pins, inspect the hydraulic lines for leaks, and cycle the loader through its full range, listening for any strange noises. It takes just fifteen minutes, but it's a big time-saver in the long run.

I do a quick check of the pins for wear, grease the zerks, and watch for any hydraulic leaks. I also give the bucket a shake to check for excessive play. This way, I can spot problems before they leave me stuck during a job.

After putting in some heavy work, I always inspect the cylinder rod seals for any signs of scoring or leaks. I wipe them down and cycle the equipment a few times before checking again. Dirty hydraulic oil can really wear out seals, so catching those issues early saves a lot of money compared to getting a full cylinder rebuild later on
