You’ve noticed the difference between a well-maintained tractor and one that gets ignored. Small efforts now save big problems later.

What maintenance tasks do you never skip to keep your tractor performing its best no matter the season?

I never skip greasing fittings. Learned that lesson the hard way when a loader pin seized up on me years back — a few pumps of grease would’ve saved a whole afternoon of hammering and cussing.

Oil changes are a must for me. My granddad drilled it into me when I first started running tractors, and I’ve seen firsthand how engines that get fresh oil on schedule just keep humming along season after season.

I always check tire pressures before the busy season. One spring I ignored it and ended up with uneven wear that cost me a new set way too soon. Now it’s a quick routine that saves money and headaches down the road.
