Mid-season repair on 2388

Hey, my 2388 is having a rough time, the shaker shaft bearing went loose mid-season. I'm trying to get the cam arm off. I've taken off the nut and retainers, and the hex shaft is out in the open, but it won't move at all. Before things get too hot with the torch, has anyone dealt with this before and can tell me the best way to get it done?
 
I had the same trouble with my 2004 Case IH 2388 during wheat harvest last year. The cam arm was stuck tight and wouldn't move. I used some penetrating oil and let it sit overnight. Then I used a puller and waited, no heat needed. It came off without hurting the shaft. If it's still stuck, try tapping it gently to loosen the rust.

You're right to hold off on the torch. Heat should be the last resort and it can mess with the shaft's temper, not to mention the risk of damaging the casting. The issue is almost certainly that the cam arm is seized onto the hex shaft from rust and compression. I'd also go with @100pockets and try using a penetrating oil. Apply a good amount of something like PB Blaster or Kroil to the joint where the cam arm meets the shaft and let it soak in. You can also try tapping the cam arm with a hammer to help break the rust's grip and allow the oil to penetrate deeper. If that doesn't work, you might need to use a heavy-duty puller. Apply steady, even pressure to separate the parts without causing damage to the shaft or the cam arm itself. A puller is much safer and more effective than using brute force.
