Hey, I'm thinking of getting a new baler but can't pick between round and square bales. What do you guys use? What are the good and bad things about each, like how easy they are to move, how tight the bales are, where to keep them, and how fast you can bale a field?

Round bales work faster and are great if you're storing them outside. But if you need to stack bales or have limited barn space, go with square ones. Pick the baler that fits how you handle and store things

Also, think about how you set up your feeding area. Round bales are great when you use bale rings or feeders, but square bales are more manageable for hand-feeding or giving out smaller portions. Don’t forget about moisture levels either, square bales usually dry out more evenly when you're baling hay.
