i have a 75xt skid steer and i was wondering if in the chain case on the middle sprocket that holds both chains and goes onto the drive motor, is that sprocket supposed to have a little play back and forth on the shaft?

I believe a small amount of rotational play on that middle sprocket is completely normal. However if you start to notice any side-to-side looseness or too much slop then it’s time to inspect the splines and bearings.
