Best fan settings for air foil sieves?

I'm here seeking knowledge on how much wind you can actually push through it before you start blowing grain over. Some guys say you can run way more than with a regular sieve since the air foil design does more of the separating, but I also hear it's easy to get carried away and lose bushels without realizing it.
Looking to save some trial and error in the field this season

Most guys run fan at full speed with air foil chaffers... higher airflow is the point. I'd start maxed, watch your grain sample, then back off just enough so you're not blowing grain over.

Don't waste grain learning the hard way. Do a pass, stop, and check behind the combine. Takes 10 minutes but saves bushels. Air foils can handle more air, yes, but there's no magic number... your crop and conditions will tell you what's "too much."

This kind of thing, you have to start conservative, then bump airflow up a notch at a time while checking losses behind the combine

Yeah, you can crank more wind with an air-foil than a regular sieve, but it’s not unlimited. Push it too hard and you’ll watch grain sail right out the back. I usually start close to full fan and then back it down until the sample looks good. It’s a balancing act, not a set-and-forget.
