got IH tractor since our old boxcar Magnum 2014 Steiger. It's got this goofy skip shift deal jumping gears like a kangaroo! I'm hauling a monster disk ripper and 5th gear's the sweet spot but it keeps hopping from 5th to 7th! How do I kill this thing?? Any idea? Tractor came with no manual because of course it didn't!

well innit possible to try disabling it through the tractor's settings? or consult the dealer for a fix.

There's usually a way to disable it.

Have you looked around the console, maybe near the gear levers or on a control panel? There should be a button or switched labeled like skip shift or auto shift. It can also be an icon showing an arrow jumping over a number.

If you know the model number of your tractor, try checking for a digital manual online.

In the transmission control panel there should be a button that says auto and auto shift or something like that. Hold it for a few seconds and then select which gear you want it to hold. I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think it's permanent, so you'll need to do this every time
