My experience with the CNH Cart ISO switch box

I remember asking if the ISO switch box for the CNH cart could plug into the A-post, just like the older generation tractors. But it's not that straightforward, I was looking around for another connector in that spot, expecting the same setup as before. That moment made me realize how newer models change things up. Have you run into this too?

Yep, had the same thing happen last season with a CNH 340. I thought the ISO plug would be in the same spot on the A-post like the older 235s, but it was actually behind the seat with a different wiring setup. Took me some time looking through the manual to figure it out.

Haven't run into this situation specifically, but I have noticed a change and it is to be expected. As much as it can be a pain in the ass, newer models have newer tech, and manufacturers need to accommodate for that, meaning we'll see new connectors, wiring diagrams etc. It's problematic, but that's the way things go.

Exactly, that's what threw me off too. I'll dig into the manual more closely next time instead of assuming it's the same as the older models, it seems like they've really shifted the layout around

True enough, guess it's just part of dealing with newer machines. Frustrating at first, but makes sense that the wiring and connectors evolve with the tech...I just need to adapt quicker next time

Wait, you can't just plug it into the A‑post like your old tractor? That surprises me too. Did someone say newer tractors push the ISO network somewhere else... or you need a Y‑cable or adapter? Haven't tried it myself yet.
