Finally getting some acres of wheat this year, and I'm setting up my Case IH 2388 to handle it. Most of my time with this machine has been spent in corn and soybeans, so setting it up for small grains is a bit new territory for me.
This wheat has been a long time coming and I'd really like to do it justice by setting the combine right the first time instead of chasing settings all over the field.

I'd appreciate tips on rotor speed, concave clearance, and sieve/chaffer setup that worked best for you

Nice, getting a good wheat crop is a great feeling! For your rotor speed, you'll want to be in the 800-900 rpm range. Start with your concave clearance around 1.5-2 inches to get all the grain out. Then for the chaffer and sieve, a good starting point is about 16mm for the chaffer and 13mm for the sieve. This will give you good airflow and separation. Make sure your fan speed is set around 950-1,000 rpm to get that cleaning air just right!

Start around 1000 to 1050 RPM on the rotor, concaves at 0–1, and keep the chaffer fairly tight with the sieve just a touch wider clean sample without throwing grain over
