So, you’ve finally parked the equipment for a little while, and now it’s time for that slow walk-around checking the fluids, tightening anything that’s a bit loose, and tackling those repairs you might have put off all season. Everyone has their own routine. How are you taking care of your Case IH machines during the off-season?

I like to warm up the shop and take my time going over the entire machine. I clean it up, check the belts, lube parts, and handle minor repairs. It may take longer than a regular workday, but it feels great knowing everything will run smoothly next season.

For me, it all boils down to doing a complete walk-around and following a checklist. I tighten bolts, grease everything up, and fix any small leaks. During the last off-season, I spotted a cracked hose before it turned into a bigger issue, so it’s really worth the effort.
