We’ve all experienced those frosty mornings when one machine roars to life, while another just doesn’t want to budge. What about you? Do you trust old iron or new iron more when it’s cold outside?

When I was in colder places, the old iron usually did better for those chilly starts. It might look a bit worn, but it always seemed to fire up first.

While I was working with machines in chilly regions, the old iron really impressed me. No matter how low the temperature dropped, those older engines would cough a couple of times before settling into a steady rhythm. On the other hand, the newer equipment often acted like it needed some encouragement just to get going. So, when winter hits hard, I still prefer the classics.

I've had my ups and downs, but honestly, those older machines really earned my trust on freezing mornings when I was moving gear. Sure, they might rattle a bit, but they typically start up while the newer models seem to hesitate.
