case ih 2166 has no heat

I have an old case ih 2166 but recently, the heater hasn't been working. it doesn't blow any warm air, even when the heater valves are open. how to get some heat in this thing?

Check if the coolant's flowing through the heater core. If one hose is hot but the other is cold, it's probably blocked or has air trapped inside. Try flushing it out or bleeding the air, that usually gets it flowing again and brings back the warm air.

hi @greattractor before you tear into the dash, check the manual shut off valves right on the engine block. Sometimes they get bumped shut or the cable isn't actually pulling the lever all the way
