thinking about turning my old 1690 case into a 5.9 cummins beast seen a few done online and it's got me fired up to try it myself wondering what kind of mods or machining might be involved anyone here pulled this off or know what i'm getting myself into

havent done it muself but you can expect to have tons of reworks starting with the mounts. then youll need to figure out the transmission and if it fits or make an adaptor plate amke sure the shaft firts, youll need cooling mods etc. cutting and welding are a must the 5.9 is bigger so keep tha in mind

That's a beast of a project! See what I did there? Hahaha. Anyway, you just need to do custom engine mounts because the Cummins might not fit readily into the Case. Also the cooling system for the Cummins is quite bigger than the original so you might do HVAC mods. Other than that just be aware that this is a time consuming project. Best of luck!

Heck yeah, that's quite an upgrade! Looking forward to seeing how it comes together
